PARKING IMPROVEMENTS |

Construction Process he parking lot across the street was delayed for almost two months as we waited for approval by the Town of Danville and the California Department of Fish and Game. We are now moving forward and are building the wall that will provide protection for the creek. But due to the delay and the need to complete the entire project prior to our Academy and preschool starting in the fall, both A and B sections of the lot will be under construction at the same time (Scroll down to see map of parking lot construction). |
What You Can Do To Help With Parking On Sunday mornings, please, IF YOU ARE ABLE, park at our off-site lots on Diablo Road. There are over 250 parking spaces at Wells Fargo Bank, Sotheby’s and Bank of the West. Please leave the on-site parking for visitors and for those who may be unable to walk up from Diablo Road. This is particularly important between June 11th and October 23rd (Scroll down to see map of alternative parking lots). |

CHAPEL The Chapel restoration plans are near completion. The Planning Committee is led by Ron Westgate with support from Craig Farrill, Claudia Garcia, Galen Grant and Esther Wiens. The Planning Committee is excited about the plans for the restored Chapel and how it will better serve CPC and its ministries. TECHNICAL ARTS The new Technical Arts office and work space, to replace what will be lost when the chapel is restored, is nearing completion. In preparing to remove the ceiling of the old library, we discovered that the wiring between the Sanctuary Technical Support Booth and the Multi-Purpose Room (Support for Video Café) ran through the ceiling of the old library. The Sanctuary Technical Support Booth is being reworked to provide better sight lines for the Annex seating and support installation of a moveable door the Sanctuary and the Annex. This door will allow us to have a separate meeting room that will seat 140 people.
|
LIBRARY AND BOOK SHOPPE The new Library / Book Shoppe is also progressing. It will be conveniently located by the Multi-Purpose Room with access from the Courtyard. Painting and carpeting were completed June 3. Shelving is being installed through next week, and we hope to open in the new Library and Book Shoppe by June 20. BELL CHOIR The Bell Choir equipment was also housed in the old Chapel closet. The new location near Worship and Arts will be designed to specifically provide storage for the bells, chimes and other supporting materials. |
